I'm sending all your texts, emails and comments to Chuy's phone. Your responses mean the world to him. Especially since so many of y'all are parenting children and teenagers just like him. Thank you for your kind words and support. We are all walking blindly through some very uncharted waters.

Chuy, I am so proud of you. You are an amazing young man in so many ways- smart, compassionate, thoughtful, protective, resilient, funny...the list goes on and on. But to have overcome the nightmarish landscape that was your early childhood so that you could become the amazing young man that you are is nothing short of incredible and miraculous. I am so thankful that God sent you the white lady from Georgia who rescued you long ago. And I am also thankful that you rescued yourself.

You're one of the most amazing people who has ever stepped foot into my life. Ever since the first day I met you fall semester my freshman year I knew there was something about you. I felt like you needed someone there for you even if you might not had needed it. Yeah we may fight but something always ends up bringing me back to say something to you whether it be a simple "hey" or "what's up". I've never had someone change my life the way you have changed it. I used to be so greedy but now I have learned to love the things I have and appreciate them too. Even though I have seen you open up to me and cry I've never truly understood what you went through until now. I can't even begin to relate. But I want you to know I love you Chuy (Jesus) Ellis Montes Bodies foreve and always.

Ellen and Katie, Chuy was kinda surprised at the home folks who read my blog. He thought it was a bunch of moms like me, but he's been very open lately with how he feels so I thank you both for encouraging him. Ellen, you've sooooooo been there for so many of my children. We've been hugely blessed by your presence in their lives.
